Job summary

XLA is seeking a Contract Support Specialist to support a federal agency in Arlington, VA. This onsite role is Monday-Friday, and candidates must be local to the Arlington area.

The position requires in-depth knowledge of Federal Contracting (FAR) and hands-on procurement experience, including pre- and post-award activities, market research, and documentation in accordance with FAR procedures. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have in-depth knowledge of Federal Contracting such as FAR and other regulations.
• Hands-on contracting and procurement experience.
• Experience in establishing and implementing U.S. Government acquisition programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Process FOIA and Privacy Act requests and Congressional Inquiries.
• Establish and maintain data for assigned work and reporting.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain official files.
• Oversee record retention by contractors to meet government requirements.
• Handle pre- and post-award actions.
• Prepare required correspondence.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of files.
• Review documents and provide feedback as necessary.
