Job summary

Natives of Kodiak Incorporated seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to support federal projects in San Antonio, TX. The candidate will supervise construction activities, coordinate with PMO leads, and ensure safety and quality compliance through the project lifecycle.

The role requires deep understanding of construction drawings, schedules, and permits, with emphasis on teamwork, communication with clients, and safe operations on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience.
• At least 5 years as a superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity.
• Familiar with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
• Experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
• Ability to interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop constructability models to support proposals with estimating and controls.
• Read and understand construction specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Lead an Integrated Project Team with stakeholders through life of project.
• Prepare work plans and project-related documentation post-award.
• Plan and direct all construction activities after award.
• Obtain local construction permits as needed.
• Supervise field staff and mentor team members.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and update the overall schedule.
