Butterfly Staffing is recruiting a Project Manager for a growing federal construction contractor based in Brightwood, Virginia. The role involves managing multiple government projects from startup to closeout, coordinating with field teams and government representatives to maintain schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate will excel at handling documentation, RFIs and change orders, while traveling to active sites as required to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial or federal construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal construction projects from preconstruction and startup through completion and closeout.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and cost controls.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors and procurement activities.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders and other project documentation.
• Review subcontractor scopes, proposals, pricing and change requests.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, billings and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate with field Superintendents, Quality Control Managers and Site Safety personnel.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, subcontractors and government representatives.
• Identify project risks and resolve issues that could affect schedule, cost or performance.
• Assist with estimating, bid review and preconstruction activities as needed.
• Maintain complete project records and required government documentation.
• Oversee project closeout, punch-list completion, warranties and turnover documentation.
• Travel periodically to project sites to review progress, attend meetings and support field operations
