Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Federal business unit in Bremerton, WA. The engineer supports planning, buyout, management and closeout, helping monitor schedule and budget while guiding the project team.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll contribute to project success from start to finish. Ideal candidates have at least two years of project engineering experience, a relevant degree, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an industry-related field is required.
• Minimum of two years of project engineering experience; internship experience preferred.
• Experience with federal contracts (NAVFAC/USACE) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain and post construction documents and drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to respond to RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist in inspections, audits and non-conformance logs.
• Monitor material and equipment delivery status.
