The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Engineer to join our West Palm Beach, FL team. You will support preconstruction, planning, buyout, management and closeout, while monitoring project status and communicating risks to the team.

This role offers growth in construction project management and hands-on experience on active projects. Weitz emphasizes a collaborative culture with a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Industry-related degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous construction internship or experience in a project engineering role is highly desired.
• General contractor (GC) background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain, and post construction documents/drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete requests for information (RFI).
• Review submittals and project documents for accuracy against plans and specifications.
• Assist in preparing inspections, compliance audits, and the non-conformance log.
• Monitor material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain and distribute accurate project logs.
• Understand scope of work for subcontracts or purchase orders.
• Track subcontractor change requests, solicit pricing, and draft change orders.
