Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Project Engineer in Central New Jersey to support government and infrastructure projects. The role offers exposure to complex federal programs and collaboration with experienced project teams on a growing construction contractor.

Responsibilities include assisting PMs and superintendents, reviewing drawings, tracking RFIs and submittals, coordinating with subcontractors, supporting scheduling and budgeting, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with federal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2+ years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with construction management software is a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Support project scheduling, procurement, and documentation efforts.
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate project records.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Assist with quality control and project closeout documentation.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking, and contract administration activities.
• Ensure project documentation complies with federal project requirements.
