Job summary

Brookwood Group is seeking a contract Project Manager to lead cost estimating and pre-construction support on a federal construction program in Liberty County, GA. The PM owns the estimate from design through award, defending it in reconciliation and presenting credible options when numbers exceed target.

Qualifications

• Federal government construction experience is required.
• 5-8+ years in construction project management, cost estimating, or preconstruction on vertical building construction.
• Ownership of a project estimate from early design through award and reconciliation.
• Fluency in estimating platforms and digital takeoff tools; deliver native files.
• Ability to work with CSI MasterFormat or UNIFORMAT cost structures.
• Bachelor's in construction-related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the cost estimate across all design phases with the Project Engineer.
• Produce and submit native estimate files and quantity takeoffs with each design submittal.
• Keep the cost trend log current and log changes as they occur.
• Represent Brookwood at open-book reconciliation meetings and defend line-item positions.
• Develop and price options when estimates exceed target price (scope, alternates, VE, phasing).
• Support client on agreement schedules with cost/quantity backup.
