Job summary

You will maintain the estimate across all design phases, produce native files and quantity takeoffs, and reconcile against other estimates while guiding the owner through open-book processes.

Qualifications

• Federal government construction experience is required.
• 5-8+ years in construction project management, cost estimating, or preconstruction on vertical building construction.
• Ownership of a project estimate from design through award, including defending it in reconciliation.
• Fluency in a recognized estimating platform and digital takeoff tools, with the ability to deliver native files.
• Knowledge of CSI MasterFormat or UNIFORMAT cost structures and ability to move between them.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the project cost estimate across design phases with the Project Engineer.
• Produce native estimate files and takeoffs with each design submittal.
• Keep the cost trend log current and record market movements.
• Represent Brookwood at reconciliation meetings and defend line-item positions.
• Develop and price options when estimates exceed target price.
• Support client on agreement schedules and related backups.
