Job summary

CBX Solutions in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced Federal estimator to develop accurate, compliant estimates for government construction projects. You will interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents and coordinate with suppliers to assemble competitive proposals.

This role emphasizes adherence to Buy America, TAA, Davis-Bacon, FAR/DFARS, and other agency requirements, plus collaboration with Sales, Operations, Project Management, Procurement, and Detailing to drive successful

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in engineering or construction management.
• 3+ years estimating experience in commercial/government projects.
• Experience with Comsense or similar estimating software.
• Ability to read blueprints and contract documents.
• Pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for Federal construction projects.
• Perform takeoffs for doors, frames, hardware, and related systems.
• Coordinate pricing with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with Buy America, TAA, Davis-Bacon, FAR/DFARS.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Project Management, Procurement, Detailing.
• Contribute to project turnover meetings and documentation.
