Job summary

Bodwé Group Companies in Laurel, Maryland, seeks an experienced Cost Estimator to develop independent government estimates for long-term and maintenance projects supporting James J. Rowley Training Center, the Secret Service facility in Laurel, MD.

The role requires a 5+ year federal construction estimating background, experience with contract administration, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Occasional travel and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction and cost estimating experience in federal construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and project teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Government security clearance(s).
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport for travel.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day project management support for assigned construction and facility engineering projects.
• Support the COR and/or senior project leadership in the execution of contract requirements.
• Coordinate with Government stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
• Review construction schedules, design documents, drawings, and submittals for contract conformance.
• Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Identify construction issues and field conditions; support development of practical solutions.
• Assist with preparation of Statements of Work (SOWs), cost estimates, and contract modifications.
• Support acquisition activities including responding to contractor questions and participating in site visits.
• Attend and support contractor/Government meetings and project coordination sessions.
• Draft technical input for change orders and contract adjustments.
• Ensure contractor deliverables meet contractual and technical requirements.
• Support reporting, documentation, and project status updates for Government stakeholders.
• Assist with project closeout and turnover activities
