Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to embed with federal civilian customers, leading complex cloud deployments and shaping mission outcomes.

You will map technical challenges, structure delivery approaches, and ship scalable cloud solutions with measurable impact. Discipline includes designing architectures, scoping requirements, and guiding GenAI, analytics, and modernization efforts while collaborating with AWS teams and agency stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• 1+ year experience of building AI application with different frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for federal civilian customers adopting AWS—from first whiteboard session to production at scale.
• Design cloud architectures that solve real mission problems and ship GenAI and data solutions using AWS.
• Lead technical engagements end‑to‑end—scoping requirements, defining architectures, responding to RFPs, and driving implementations to production.
• Serve as the customer's technical thought partner on security, GenAI, analytics, and modernization.
• Codify best practices into reusable patterns for the broader SA community.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to accelerate adoption.
