Job summary

Knox Systems is seeking a security operations professional to monitor and respond to alerts across performance, availability, and security in federal-scale environments. You will work a fixed shift or four-day rotation with detailed handovers and strong decision-making to contain or escalate incidents.

Applicants should have CompTIA Security+ or be able to earn it within 90 days, plus hands-on IT operations or NOC experience. A background in government contracting is valued.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification, or ability to earn within 90 days of starting.
• Hands-on experience in IT operations, a help desk, a NOC, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work a full shift on a weekday or four-day rotation schedule with written handover.
• Review alerts and decide actions: elevate, contain, or close with reasoning.
• Handle performance, availability, and security issues from the same queue.
