Accenture Federal Services in Washington, DC is seeking an Enterprise Cloud Architect to define the architecture direction for secure, resilient cloud and infrastructure environments serving federal customers. You will define the standards and designs that engineering teams build to, guide modernization and migration work, and advise technical and executive stakeholders.

This role leads through technical direction rather than managing a team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering and architecture.
• 3+ years as architect or senior technical lead.
• Deep design experience in AWS or Azure, with working knowledge of the other.
• Strong grounding in networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience designing highly available, resilient architectures, including disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and ATO processes, plus identity and Zero Trust architecture.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps well enough to set standards and review designs.
• Working knowledge of ITIL and observability platforms.
• The ability to explain trade-offs clearly to executives and engineers.
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Define reference architectures and standards for cloud and infrastructure across AWS, Azure, hybrid, and Google Cloud
• Design for availability, resiliency, scalability, and disaster recovery
• Lead architecture for cloud migration and infrastructure modernization
• Design to NIST, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust requirements, and lead security architecture reviews with cybersecurity teams
• Run architecture reviews and governance and define architecture requirements for service management and operational readiness
• Advise program and executive stakeholders and mentor engineers and junior architects
