Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction) and at least 1 year post‑J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
• United States citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the federal government and its agencies in civil litigation in the Western District of Texas and the Fifth Circuit.
• Handle a wide range of immigration matters in civil defensive litigation.
• Take depositions, prepare and answer interrogatories, negotiate settlements, engage in motions practice, try cases, and write/argue appeals.
