Job summary

Old Harbor Solutions is seeking a Federal Budget & Financial Specialist with DOD or Federal Government experience to support our customer in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires in-depth knowledge of the federal budget cycle and the ability to guide program managers in preparing budget requests and related documentation.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in federal budgeting and finance systems, plus proficiency in MS Office and exceptional written communication skills.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• 10 years of experience as Budget Technician or Budget Analyst.
• Experience in federal budgeting and finance systems.
• Federal Government experience, preferably with Department of Energy or Environmental Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong writing and communication skills for reports and summaries.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; Cincinnati, OH location.

Responsibilities

• Provide budget support to the federal client.
• Guide program managers in developing budget requests and related documentation, and monitor obligation and costing of funds as part of the budget cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide budget support to our federal client
• Mastery of principles, practices, and procedures related to all aspects of the Federal budget cycle, including providing guidance to program managers in the development of budget requests and related documentation, and exercising budget controls through review and tracking of the obligation and costing of funds

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Ten (10) years directly performing duties as a Budget Technician or Budget Analyst
• Experience in federal budgeting and finance systems
• Federal Government experience, preferably with Department of Energy or Environmental Management
• Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Effective writing and communication skills to prepare reports and summaries.
