Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan seeks Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) to join the Criminal and Civil Divisions. You will be part of a dedicated team enforcing federal criminal laws that protect life, liberty, and property.

Assignments include drug trafficking and immigration matters, with a term appointment not-to-exceed 09/30/2029 and potential for permanent appointment. J.D. required and bar membership must be active.

Qualifications

• Required qualifications: J.D. degree AND active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Proof of active bar membership is required.
• United States citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in Criminal or Civil Division.
• Enforce federal criminal laws and prosecute assigned matters.
• Handle drug trafficking and immigration responsibilities as assigned.
• Training and progressive responsibility will increase with experience.
