TeleSolv Consulting, LLC is seeking an Onsite Law Clerk to support a federal government client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, can review case materials, draft legal documents, and meet tight deadlines.

This position requires U.S. citizenship, successful completion of pre-employment background investigations including credit and drug checks, and obtaining the necessary federal clearance. Compensation is $47.06 per hour.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must pass pre-employment background investigation (including credit check and drug test).
• Must pass Federal government background check to obtain necessary clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review petition packages related to asset forfeiture and prepare detailed recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on Federal asset forfeiture statutes and USSS authority.
• Review legal documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Edit Probable Cause Statements and prepare final versions for review.
• Contact case agents to gather additional seizure and case information.
• Extract data from seizure files to support editing of legal documents.
• Prepare and submit petition packages for processing to Asset Forfeiture Branch and Office of Chief Counsel.
• Draft and finalize Probable Cause statements and legal correspondence.
• Prepare legal research memoranda and case summaries.
• Review petitions and recommend responses.
• Organize case files and supporting documentation.
• Provide timely legal support products meeting government standards.

Education

J.D. from an accredited law school

Paralegal certification with undergraduate degree
