Job summary

FSA Federal is seeking a Law Clerk to support the FBI’s Legal Forfeiture Unit, handling forfeiture case management, drafting motions and legal documents, and assisting attorneys under supervision. The role requires meticulous research, strong writing skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with unit members and partners across the FBI, in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Law degree or ABA-accredited law school student with at least one year completed.
• Experience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resources.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong writing ability.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases; teamwork-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage forfeiture cases for the team; conduct research and draft legal documents.
• Under supervision, assist attorneys with the litigation process.
• Review work of paralegals and clerks; prepare litigation documents such as motions and briefs.
• Screen documents for privilege; coordinate with FBI unit members.
• Support the ideal candidate's writing skills and professional communication.
