Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an Application Security Lead to drive end-to-end security readiness for government applications, ensuring compliance with federal frameworks and ATO processes. You will design secure architectures and oversee risk management across product, engineering, cloud, and compliance teams.

You will develop and maintain security documentation, lead assessments and remediation, and mentor teams on secure development practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in security.
• Led application or cloud security initiatives in regulated environments requiring ATO.
• Expertise in security architecture and secure control implementation.
• Hands-on with cloud security services (Azure, AWS) and IAM.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, Zero Trust, CIS benchmarks.
• Proficiency with DevSecOps tooling and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience producing SSPs, policies, diagrams, and technical control evidence.
• Strong collaboration across engineering, compliance, governance, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end security readiness of applications and ensure compliance with federal and enterprise frameworks.
• Drive security architecture design, threat modeling, and regulatory alignment.
• Coordinate security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and remediation planning.
• Partner with product, engineering, cloud, and compliance teams for secure-by-design solutions.
• Develop and maintain security documentation (SSPs, POA&M, diagrams) and monitoring artifacts.
• Enforce best practices for IAM, secure CI/CD, and infrastructure hardening.
• Mentor teams on secure development across the SDLC.
• Oversee security controls for ongoing compliance and resiliency.
• Drive continuous improvement of security tooling and engineering workflows.
