Job summary

The Transportation Security Administration is seeking experienced Federal Air Marshals to safeguard commercial aviation by protecting passengers, crews, and airports from terrorism and other criminal threats.

FAMs operate on domestic and international flights with irregular schedules, carrying firearms and maintaining high physical readiness. The role demands discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience or a bachelor's degree or higher, or a combination of education and experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, at least 21, and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial flights from terrorist activity and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Carry a firearm and maintain proficiency.
• Participate in multi-agency operations and investigations.
• Perform law enforcement and advisory duties as required.
