Job summary

Transportation Security Administration is recruiting Federal Air Marshals to protect commercial flights and support homeland security. Qualifications

• Must possess discretion, sound judgment and physical readiness.
• Firearms proficiency and ability to perform under high-pressure conditions.
• Qualification can be through experience, education, or a mix of both.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorist activity, aircraft piracy, and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Assess developing situations and respond with limited backup.
• Carry a firearm and maintain proficiency for federal duties.
• Conduct law enforcement, investigative, analytical, and advisory activities.
• Identify and interview witnesses or suspects as required.
• Make arrests and execute warrants within legal authority.
• Participate in multi-agency operations with federal, state, and local partners.
• Support ground-based transportation-security and counterterrorism missions.
• Perform other specialized assignments, including Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems operations.
