Job summary

The Transportation Security Administration is recruiting Federal Air Marshals to protect commercial flights and passengers. This demanding role requires discretion, physical readiness, firearms proficiency, and the ability to operate independently in high-pressure situations.

Officers may travel frequently, with irregular schedules and on-call rotations. Candidates must meet basic eligibility, including U.S. citizenship, age, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or higher or a qualifying combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial flights from terrorism and other threats.
• Operate discreetly aboard flights and on the ground.
• Assess situations and respond with limited backup.
• Carry firearms and maintain proficiency.
• Conduct investigations and interviews when required.
• Coordinate with multi-agency partners.
