Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or a related field; minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing secure enterprise AI or ML architectures across cloud and/or on-premise platforms.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise AI integration efforts across multiple initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background investigation.
• Available on contract award and willing to sign a letter of commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and oversee secure enterprise AI architectures that integrate into VA's baseline.
• Apply AI and ML architecture patterns across cloud and on-premise platforms to improve scalability, security, governance.
• Define AI integration with the DTC enterprise platforms (Salesforce/MuleSoft, Power Platform/Dynamics, Pega, Box, Appian).
• Lead enterprise AI integration efforts and validate decisions through architecture and security gates.
• Establish AI governance practices, including model selection, human oversight, responsible use, and PII/PHI protection under HIPAA and VA rules.
• Guide the AI Engineer, ML Engineer, and delivery teams to ensure compliant delivery across initiatives.
• Educate VA stakeholders and DTC Platform Leads on AI architecture options, tradeoffs, and adoption.
