Job summary

Shields Point, LLC on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks a part-time Guard I to perform unarmed security and access-control duties. Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; able to work in the United States.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear written and spoken English; able to write factual reports.
• Valid driver's license if assigned driving duties.
• No disqualifying criminal, security, employment, substance-abuse, or integrity history; must pass background checks and obtain installation access.
• Eligible for Alabama Security Regulatory Board license/registration; application within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical examination and AR 190-56 Physical Agility Test.
• Complete required training courses before posting.

Responsibilities

• Control pedestrian and vehicle access at designated posts and verify identification and credentials.
• Inspect personnel, vehicles, and carried items per post orders and policy.
• Grant or deny access with accuracy.
• Operate access-control devices and related systems; meet readiness standards.
• Respond to incidents and alarms; notify chain of command.
• Provide first aid, CPR, and tourniquet as needed until EMS arrives.
• Write clear, incident and daily reports; complete forms.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service.
