Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking contract/hourly staff to assist Raleigh County Schools with standards-based curriculum implementation and supplemental programs.   • Plan and implement Raleigh County Schools' standards-based curriculum.

  • Provide personalized learning support in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
  • Plan and implement tiered instruction for reading and math.
  • Participate in the Title I school-wide program.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Support the principal's school improvement initiatives.

Job description

  • Position Type:

  • Responsible for planning and implementing Raleigh County Schools' standards-based curriculum based on WV Content Standards and Objectives
  • Responsible for implementing adopted and supplemental academic programs
  • Responsible for implementing appropriate 21st Century technology skills
  • Responsible for assisting with personalized learning support for students in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
  • Responsible for planning and implementing tiered instruction for reading and math
  • Responsible for implementing and participating in the Title I school-wide program
  • Strong working/communication skills with students, parents, and peers
  • Willing to implement any other programs designated by Principal for school improvement
  • Includes supervisory and/or other duties as assigned by Principal

$25 per hour up to 20 hours/week - for 35 weeks or until funds are expended

Start Date: BOE APPROVAL 2026-2027
VALID WV TEACHING CERTIFICATE PREFERRED
ATTENTION:

The list must include the approximate dates, titles, and topics of the training. Additional documentation may be requested to verify authenticity. Specialized training will be considered based on the quality and relevance to the duties of the position. This factor will be awarded to the candidate having the most significant relevant specialized training.
All applicants not currently employed by Raleigh County Schools must include copies of "past performance evaluations conducted pursuant to WV Code 18A-2-12 and 18A-3c-2 or, in the case of a classroom teacher, past evaluations of the applicant's performance in the teaching profession as a certified educator". Each separate evaluation must be uploaded within the Frontline system.
