Job summary

Samsung Electronics, a global leader in technology, seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to manage performance and maintenance of production equipment at an on-site facility. The role focuses on preventing quality and performance issues through systematic maintenance planning and proactive upgrades.

You will lead a small team, oversee short-term action plans, and implement improvements to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards in a high-volume production

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's.
• PhD with 3 years of related experience acceptable.
• Ability to lead a small team and coach members.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage performance targets for production equipment.
• Implement preventative maintenance for equipment before failures.
• Maintain equipment to prevent environmental safety-related incidents.
• Suggest improvements and remodel equipment when needed.

Position Summary

1. Prevent performance and quality issues from occurring in equipment used in production process.
2. Maximize investment efficiency by carrying out scientific and economical maintenance tasks for equipment used in production process.
3. Conduct maintenance of equipment used in production process without any environmental safety-related accidents.

Role and Responsibilities

1. [Performance management of production equipment] Establish and manage performance management plan items by checking the equipment used in the production process.
2. [Preventative maintenance of production equipment] Establish and manage preventative maintenance items that are implemented before failure or defects in performance, quality and etc. are found.
3. [Maintenance of production equipment] Manage maintenance of equipment with failure or defects in performance, quality and etc.
4. [Improvement management of production equipment] Suggest improvement measures and manage equipment used in the production process needs to be remodeled or improved.

• May lead a small team of professionals with limited control over budget spending or HR management such as recruiting or dismissal and supervises mentoring and coaching for team members
• Typically implements short-term action plans rather than developing policy, process or strategy

• Has deep knowledge on one job area or broad knowledge on several job areas
• Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years
