Apple Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking a qualified engineer to develop and maintain an internal GPU power/efficiency tool. You will collaborate with Technology, Power, and Silicon teams to align frequency- voltage curves with workloads and verify projections against silicon data.

APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Developing and maintaining an internally developed tool that generates GPU efficiency data. Working with Technology, Power and Static timing teams to determine the Frequency-Voltage curves for the workloads. Working with the Silicon team to improve projections based on Silicon data. Analyzing performance data delivered by the GPU performance team and checking whether the data meets expectations and report any abnormalities for debugging. Analyzing the capacitance and leakage data supplied by the GPU power team to make sure the values are as expected for a project. Working with architects and implementation teams to run experiments that help drive design decisions for the Apple GPU. Making feature additions to support required new features in the tool including updating the equations and silicon technology parameters used by the model to generate more accurate data. Analyzing projections made against actual silicon data to analyze accuracy and possible improvements in modeling. 40 hours/week.
