Job summary

Boise Independent School District is seeking a FDSR Manager I for Elementary at Garfield Elementary. This 6-hour per day role supervises staff, manages recipes and production, and handles cashiering tasks, with WinSnap software and email responsibilities. The position offers a pathway for growth within the district and requires strong communication and teamwork.

The role begins ASAP with benefits, and is part-time, 6 hours daily, from 7:15 AM to 1:45 PM, across 181 days of the school year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or equivalent requred.
• Previous experience with institutional foodservice.
• Previous experience with school foodservice preferred.
• Previous experience supervising/managing others.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for recipes, production sheets, and cashiering.
• Ability to make decisions and to problem solve.
• Willing to learn and understand the WinSnap software, cashiering and email.
• Understanding of Federal, State, Local, District and Foodservice policies and regulations.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to be self-directed.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with school personnel, students and the public.
• Strong communications skills.
• Understanding of the importance to communicate with the Foodservice Office.
• Ability to give direction and train others.
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds.

Index: 01/H/02 ($23.52/hour) to 01/H/04 ($25.44/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees *Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "H" letter grade of theClassified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees' Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.
