What You’ll Do

• Teach any of the FDOT Tuition Free Courses:
  • Basic Traffic Homicide Investigation
  • Advanced Traffic Homicide Investigation
  • Traffic Homicide Reconstruction
  • Crash Scene Mapping with Speed Lasers
  • Speed Measurement Course
  • Speed Measurement Instructor Course
  • Breath Test Operator Instructor
  • Agency Inspector Instructor
• Potentially comfortable teaching the Traffic Homicide, Speed Measurement, Breath Test Operator, and Agency Inspector Courses.

Who We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current FDLE General Instructor Certification, Speed Measurement Instructor, or Breath Test Instructor Certifications.
• Knowledge of State of Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training rules and regulations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills; sound judgement; problem solving skills; positive motivational skills.
• FDLE Instructor Exemptions may be made on a case‑by‑case basis if you qualify.
• Work Schedule: Hours may vary.
