Job summary

MOHR Talent in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Import Entry Writer with FDA/PGA experience to manage high-volume import entries and PGA/FDA releases. This onsite role requires precision, strong document review, and independence in a fast-paced brokerage environment.

You will handle FDA/PGA entries, May Proceed releases, and coordinate with Customs, FDA, and other agencies, ensuring accurate data and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customs entry writing or brokerage operations experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PGA/FDA entries and releases.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume entry work, ideally 100-150 entries per month.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing import documents, HTS/product codes, and client SOPs.
• Solid Excel, Outlook, and Word skills.
• Able to work independently, stay organized, and support customers in a fast-paced brokerage environment.

Responsibilities

• Process import entries accurately and on time.
• Review commercial documents and correct missing or inaccurate information before submission.
• Handle PGA/FDA requirements, including May Proceed releases.
• Flag FDA exams, holds, or shipment issues quickly.
• Use client SOPs to support HTS/product code classification.
• Track release status with Customs, FDA, and other agencies.
• Resolve entry errors, holds, and documentation issues.
• Update delivery orders and send clear carrier instructions when shipments must be held.
• Correct bill of lading and file issues before handing completed files to Post-Entry.
