Mohr Talent is hiring a Customs Entry Writer in Kearny, NJ for a 100% onsite role. The position requires strong PGA/FDA entry experience and the ability to handle a high-volume workload with accuracy and speed.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of customs entry writing or brokerage operations experience, and is proficient with Excel, Outlook, and Word. You will review documents, ensure proper classifications, and monitor releases with FDA and other agencies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customs entry writing or brokerage operations experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PGA/FDA entries and releases.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume entry work (100-150 entries per month).
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing import documents, HTS/product codes, and client SOPs.
• Solid Excel, Outlook, and Word skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced brokerage environment.

Responsibilities

• Process import entries accurately and on time.
• Review commercial documents and correct missing or inaccurate information before submission.
• Handle PGA/FDA requirements, including “May Proceed” releases.
• Flag FDA exams, holds, or shipment issues quickly.
• Use client SOPs to support HTS/product code classification.
• Track release status with Customs, FDA, and other agencies.
• Resolve entry errors, holds, and documentation issues.
• Update delivery orders and send clear carrier instructions when shipments must be held.
• Correct bill of lading and file issues before handing completed files to Post-Entry.
