Job summary

Ferrovial Construction-Webber 99 is seeking a Safety Manager to safeguard workers and the public across major highway and infrastructure projects in the United States. You will lead safety programs, conduct orientations, inspections, and incident investigations while ensuring compliance with policy and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in safety roles.
• OSHA 500, OSHA 40, Red Cross Safety Classes and related safety certifications.
• Experience on large highway/bridge/structure projects as a contractor.

Responsibilities

• Provide program administration to ensure a safe, healthy, and secure work environment for employees and the public.
• Perform safety orientations for employees and subcontractors.
• Perform safe driver training.
• Provide a safe and secure work environment with zero tolerance for violence, threats, harassment, and intimidation.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections of all worksites and document results.
• Investigate and document all occupational injuries.

Job Description: Safety Manager Summary

• Provide program administration to ensure that a safe, healthy, and secure work environment exists for employees and the public, including persons with disabilities, and that the public is protected from harm in connection with operation of the Project.
• Perform safety orientations for employees and subcontractors.
• Perform safe driver training.
• Provide a safe and secure work environment that has zero tolerance for violence, threats, harassment, and intimidation in the workplace.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections of all worksites to identify and correct unsafe conditions and unsafe acts, and document the results.
• Investigate and document all occupational injuries.
• Under the direction of the Safety Manager, ensure that each employee understands the assigned task, is provided with the necessary equipment, and follows all safety and health policies, procedures, and work practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience of progressive responsibility in similar positions.
• Safety Certifications: 500 OSHA Standards for Construction, OSHA 40, Red Cross Safety Classes and other Safety certifications.
• Experience on large highway, bridge/structures, paving, and/or utility relocation projects as a contractor.
