Job summary

Onyx is expanding its regulated derivatives business and seeks an experienced FCM Finance Lead to build and run the financial infrastructure for our FCM entity. You will work with finance, legal, and executives on capital, customer-funds protection, reporting, and examinations.

Based in NoHo, Manhattan, you will own capital monitoring, segregation calculations, regulatory filings, and accounting close, while strengthening processes and controls as Onyx scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in finance, accounting, audit, regulatory reporting, or financial examinations.
• Experience in broker-dealer/FCM or as a financial examiner at NFA, CFTC, or FINRA.
• CPA licensure and/or Series 27/3 registrations are preferred.
• Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills, including reconciliations and workpapers.
• Ability to apply regulatory requirements to daily financial processes and explain matters clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor adjusted net capital and capital requirements.
• Prepare segregation and residual-interest calculations; track customer funds.
• Build and maintain financial controls and reporting for compliance with CFTC/NFA.
• Prepare regulatory filings (Form 1-FR-FCM) and quarterly/monthly close.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory examinations; track findings and remediation.
• Provide leadership reporting on capital adequacy, liquidity, and protections for customer funds.
