The British Red Cross Society is seeking a Programme Officer to manage FCDO funding and coordinate across teams, Movement partners and FCDO. You will support broader funding portfolios and undertake due diligence to ensure impact and accountability.
You will be part of the International Programme Quality & Accountability team, helping to promote collaboration, prepare meetings, and provide administrative support while contributing to strategic priorities and humanitarian outcomes.
Join us as a Programme Officer and support our partnership with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). In this varied development role, you'll have the opportunity to lead essential stakeholder coordination and grant management activities. You'll also assist our Director of Programme Quality and Accountability with wider strategic priorities.
You'll lead in managing the British Red Cross' core funding from FCDO. This involves monitoring and reporting on progress, coordinating across teams, Movement partners and FCDO. This ensures requirements are met and the impact of this vital funding is effectively communicated.
Over time, the position will progressively take on broader responsibilities across the FCDO-funded project portfolio. This may involve supporting the BRC and our partners to secure and manage programme funding from the FCDO globally. This also includes managing specific grants, assisting due diligence processes, or facilitating emergency appeal contributions.
You'll be a member of the International Programme Quality & Accountability team. You'll be central to everyday activities that promote team cohesion, coordinating engagement with a variety of stakeholders, preparing meetings and agendas, following up on team actions and providing administrative support where needed.
This is a varied role with significant scope to learn and develop, working with many teams and stakeholders to support a key strategic partnership and its global humanitarian impact.
