Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC is seeking a Foster Care Adoption Team Lead based in Atlanta, GA, with travel within Atlanta and surrounding counties. The role requires a Master's degree and foster-care experience, plus leadership capabilities to supervise staff and manage referrals.

You will partner with the Assistant Director, oversee caseloads, and drive program development while maintaining Bethany’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Master's level degree in Human Service, Social Work, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college.
• At least one (1) year of experience managing others.
• Active Child Welfare Certification in the state of the work location may be required.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a foster care position within a child welfare agency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tracking for units of service in the FCA program.
• Cultivate a positive, team relationship within the State in assigned area.
• Regularly meet with Assistant Director to discuss cases, referrals, and current tracking of units.
• Maintain caseloads in line with Bethany standards and communicate with the State regarding referrals.
• Train staff effectively to ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, community agencies, courts, and individuals.

How Your Role Makes a Difference

• Maintain tracking for units of service in the FCA program;
• Cultivate a positive, team relationship within the State in assigned area;
• Regularly meet with Assistant Director to discuss cases, referrals, and current tracking of units;
• Maintain caseloads in line with Bethany standards and remain in communication with the State regarding Bethany’s ability to accept or decline referrals;
• Participate in program committees that address service delivery systems and implement the appropriate program developments;
• Train staff effectively to ensure efficient operations;
• Develop, maintain, and enhance position and professional relationships with referral sources, community agencies, courts, and individuals;
• Participate in community forums relevant to primary job responsibilities;
• Maintain an awareness of current trends, theories, state licensing regulations, legislation and practices through the review of professional journals and literature, participation in relevant educational forums;
• Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department;
• May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What Will Make You Successful

• Master's level degree in Human Service, Social Work, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college;
• At least one (1) year of experience in a foster care position within a child welfare agency;
• Active Child Welfare Certification in the state of the work location may be required;
• At least one (1) year of experience managing others;
• Demonstrate excellent assessment, therapeutic and crisis intervention skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage;
• Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
