The position requires a JD, bar certification, and at least two years post-JD experience, with strong writing, research, and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bar Certified with Law degree.
• Two years' post-JD experience.
• Experience conducting legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent oral and written legal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and related software.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the attorney while reviewing the work of paralegals and clerks.
• Performs expert legal research and writing on sophisticated issues.
• Reviews investigative reports from various agencies and prepares summaries.
• Conducts high-level analysis of facts, evidence, and legal authorities.
• Uses facts and authorities to craft persuasive memoranda, motions, briefs.
• Drafts reports, develops training curricula, and responds to Congressional and citizen correspondence.
• Prepares correspondence for issues requiring government signatures.
• Coordinates with other support components to complete work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
