Job summary
Dominion Energy is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the Fault Analysis team in Richmond, Virginia. You will assist with data processing, software development, and engineering tasks to improve grid reliability and operational decision-making.
You will work under supervision of a senior engineer, gaining hands-on experience with substation communications, OTS application development, and automation projects across the transmission domain.
Qualifications
- Basic electrical engineering concepts from coursework or self-study.
- Familiarity with programming and data tools used in engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and ability to learn new tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist fault analysis and monitoring equipment setup and commissioning.
- Develop software tools and dashboards to support transmission operations.
- Collaborate on data requests, analysis, and automation initiatives.
- Create technical documentation and participate in testing and deployments.
- Support safety training and documentation efforts.
