Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a Fatigue and Propulsion Loads Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Aeronautical or Structural Engineering and experience with aircraft loads analysis. Responsibilities include maintaining finite element models and producing load cases for fatigue analysis, with a salary range of $130,000 to $180,000. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced design environment required.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft certification (loads) necessary.
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural mechanics is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, verify, and maintain the IFEM composed of pylon, nacelle, and engine FE models.
  • Produce load cases for fatigue analysis according to regulations.
  • Support trade studies and parametric analyses.

Skills

Structural FEM modeling/analysis with NASTRAN or Altair Optistruct, Hypermesh
MATLAB proficiency or similar
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and independently
Experience with aircraft loads analysis, including fatigue

Education

BS / MS / PhD in Aeronautical, Structural Engineering or related fields
