Job summary

Coleman Health Services in Steubenville, Ohio is looking for a Fatherhood Coordinator to oversee fatherhood programming across Jefferson and Carroll Counties. This in-office role works directly with father figures to promote wellness through direct support and community networking.

Responsibilities include direct care, outreach to courts and community partners, conducting group sessions, coordinating linkage to services, and maintaining local partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Effective public relations skills for inter-agency communication, and familiarity with community systems and agencies.
  • Able to work effectively as a team and independently, interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work flexible weekday hours between 8 am to 5 pm based on company and client needs, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • 3 or more years of experience preferred.

  • Conduct outreach to courts, JFS, probation offices, and other providers for referrals to the program; collaborate with state and community partners to ensure service provision.
  • Provide scheduled group sessions using evidence-based curriculum tailored to each individual.
  • Coordinate linkage to additional supports and resources (employment, housing, outpatient services, SUD services, etc.).
  • Work to establish solid program offerings with clear expectations for clients and providers; may assist with transportation to group and ensure accessibility and responsiveness to Harrison county's population.
  • Ongoing communication with local stakeholders to promote program offerings and care coordination; assist through the referral and intake process.
  • Provide data collection for grant-funded programs following DCY expectations (participation, services, outcomes, compliance).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We seek a Fatherhood Coordinator to coordinate and oversee fatherhood programing withing Jefferson and Carroll Counties. This position works directly with father figures to promote wellness through direct support and community networking while managing community-based programming (client engagement) and maintaining local partnerships in the county where assigned. This position is an in-office job located in Steubenville, Ohio.

Job Description Duties:
Direct Care:
  • Provide individualized support in the assigned county to address each client's needs, including, but not limited to employment, parenting skills, reentry, child support, health care access, family engagement, and responsible fatherhood.
  • Conduct outreach to courts, JFS, probation offices, other providers for referrals to program; collaboration with state and community partners to ensure service and support provision to clients.
  • Provide scheduled group sessions using assigned curriculum and programming that is supported by evidence as effective and tailored to each individual and their unique needs.
  • Coordinate linkage to additional supports and resources; employment, housing, outpatient services, SUD services, etc.
  • Work to establish solid program offerings, with clear expectations for both clients and service provider; may include assisting with transportation to group, while ensuring programming is responsive, accessible, and reflective of Harrison county's unique population and their needs.
External Networking:
  • Ongoing communication with local stakeholders to promote program offerings and ongoing coordination of care.
  • Assist through the referral and intake process
Other Duties
  • Provide data collection for grant-funded program following Department of Child and Youth (DCY) expectations with focus on participation, services provided, outcomes, and compliance, per state provided report schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Compliance
  • Understand and adhere to all Coleman policies and procedures as they appear in the Personnel Polices, Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures, and other Company publications.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and compliance standards in the performance of your duties
Employee Package Includes:
  • Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience
