Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking an entry-level assembler to interpret mechanical prints, follow assembly instructions, and support FAT procedures for Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, and X-Ray systems.

You will collaborate with Quality, Production, Engineering and Service teams to ensure safety and quality while learning SAP and 5S standards in a manufacturing environment. High school diploma plus 1–3 years in assembly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of assembly experience or similar work helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient note-taking and clear communication across departments.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists and assembly instructions.
• Report quality issues, process inconsistencies, and equipment concerns to Quality Management.
• Assist in FAT protocols for Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, and X-Ray systems with internal teams.
• Support post-FAT hand-offs to Production, Engineering, and Service departments.
• Monitor FAT calendar and workload scheduling.
• Learn and adhere to SOPs within the FAT Workspace.
• Develop competency in handling Quality transactions using SAP.
• Collaborate with Value Stream Quality Engineers as needed.
• Ensure FAT areas comply with 5S and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area reflecting positively on customers.
• Advance professional and technical knowledge through workshops and training.
• Maintain various quality reports as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
