Job summary

Fortress is seeking a FastLane UAT Associate to join its Professional Services team. You will configure and validate UAT environments on the Fortress Platform, execute structured test cases, and manage CAB requests to ensure changes meet quality standards before go-live.

This 12-month, full-time temporary role offers remote/hybrid work options, a $70,000 annual salary, and a path toward permanent employment for high performers.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Change Advisory Board (CAB) requests following change management best practices.
• Track work, defects, and change status in Jira, and maintain technical documentation in Confluence.
• Partner with Customer Success and collaborate across Professional Services and Product.
• Support customer-facing conversations when needed.
• Communicate testing results, risks, and blockers clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset.

What you can expect as the FastLane UAT Associate at Fortress... The FastLane UAT Associate sits at the heart of how Fortress delivers for its customers, serving as the critical checkpoint between configuration changes and customer production environments. Working within the Professional Services team, this individual configures and validates UAT environments on the Fortress Platform, executes structured test cases, and manages Change Advisory Board requests to ensure every change meets quality standards before go-live. The role offers broad cross-functional exposure with Customer Success driving day-to-day priorities and collaboration spanning Application Engineering, Professional Services, and Product. It is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional to build hands-on skills in platform configuration, structured testing, change management, and technical documentation while contributing directly to the protection of critical infrastructure.

This is a 12-month, full-time temporary role. FastLane is intentionally structured as a pipeline to permanent employment, and associates who demonstrate strong performance may be considered for conversion to a permanent position at the end of the term. Responsibilities Include

• Configure customer UAT environments on the Fortress Platform so they accurately mirror the corresponding production environments
• Carry out requested configuration changes in UAT and validate them before they are promoted to production
• Execute defined test cases and document thorough test evidence for each change
• Create and manage Change Advisory Board (CAB) requests, following change management best practices
• Track work, defects, and change status in Jira, and maintain technical documentation in Confluence
• Partner with Customer Success, who will drive your priorities, and work across departments including Professional Services and Product
• Support customer-facing conversations when needed
• Communicate testing results, risks, and blockers clearly and professionally
• Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience in UAT or related field
• Basic AI proficiency, including the ability to use approved AI tools responsibly when permitted by Fortress policy
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies, follow test steps precisely, and clearly document what you find
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, teams, and workflows
• Experience in, or aptitude for, a customer/client-facing environment
• Strong curiosity, work ethic, and desire to learn
• Ambition, drive, sharp vision, and a great attitude

Preferred Skills

• Proven working experience or strong academic/internship exposure in software testing, QA, configuration, or technical documentation
• Interest in national security, technology, or critical infrastructure protection

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical or analytical field.
