Job summary

Brinkmann Constructors is seeking a Project Engineer/PM-in-training to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day management. You will be involved in cost estimation, contract administration, schedule management, and risk-quality oversight on construction projects, with a clear path to project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required.
• 0–2 years' experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Ability to travel/relocate for job assignments.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities; able to present alternative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business development opportunities including maintaining positive client relationships.
• Prepare full cost estimates including quantity take-offs and pricing.
• Participate in bid solicitation, bid package preparation and analysis.
• Assist in preparation of general contract and subcontract administration.
• Prepare permit applications.
• Maintain updated construction documents including as-builts.
• Manage shop drawings and submittals; coordinate procurement and expediting.
• Facilitate the RFI process and document coordination meetings.
• Monitor project schedules to ensure adherence to key dates; manage change orders.
• Oversee the close-out process including punch list creation and completion.
