Job summary

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) seeks a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. The role offers exposure to sales, operations, fleet management, and finance processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will shadow management, learn scheduling, coaching, and performance metrics while contributing to customer experience, fleet logistics, and store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Support team with miscellaneous tasks including cleaning and preparing vehicles, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
