Job summary

MPI in Indiana seeks an Assistant Project Manager for a leading commercial GC with a diverse healthcare portfolio. The role offers extensive training, competitive compensation, and long-term growth within a respected firm.

You will support the Project Manager across all construction phases, handle RFIs, review subcontract docs, and assist with preconstruction tasks and documentation. A strong foundation in construction and a coachable mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in general contracting (open to PE or APM)
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Experience managing administrative construction duties, including document control
• Proficient in Bluebeam or Procore
• Need to have a basic understanding of construction knowledge
• Coach-able, eager to learn talent

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in all phases of construction
• Write RFI's, submit for approval and distribute accordingly
• Review and understand the subcontract documents as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility
• Notify management of significant project events such as project successes, issues, injuries, client relations, potential losses/claims
• Work with owner/client to provide updates, obtain approvals, and complete change orders for scope of work revisions
• Assists with documenting changes; Maintain project records, red line transfers, and correspondence.
• Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification
• Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists
