Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Production Utility to support packaging lines by inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cans, and specialty containers. You will work in a team atmosphere and be responsible for your individual station.

Responsibilities include inspecting items, ensuring quality and food safety, moving product to warehouse, scanning finished goods, and setting up packing areas.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Fluent in English or Spanish (reading).

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts operator or shift supervisor of changes.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks.
• Moves product from packing area to warehouse by pulling jacks filled with product.
• Accurately scans finished product into inventory with scanning equipment.
• Sets up mats and cartons for packers before production begins each day.
• Prepares packing area when packaging different products.
• Helps relieve for breaks and lunches.
• Must be able to safely maneuver and lift up to 50lbs.
• Understands how to operate the Shrink Wrapper.
• Helps clean floor and equipment in packing room weekly and perform sanitation duties.
