Duval Ford in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Fast Lube Service Technician to gain hands-on experience under seasoned technicians. You will diagnose, repair, and install components on a range of vehicles while building a long-term career with a family-owned dealership.

The role emphasizes learning safety, following instructions, teamwork, and customer-service skills; prior automotive exposure helps, and basic computer skills are used for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team environment.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Manufacturer required training.
• Minimum of one month related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Works alongside an assigned Technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
• Assists assigned technician, as needed.
• Delivers customer cars to service stalls, as requested by Technicians.
• Picks up parts from the parts department, as directed by Technicians.
• Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs, as directed.
• Replenishes supplies, as requested by Technicians or Service Manager.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Attending training classes and departmental meetings.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
