Job summary

Food Lion in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador to deliver fast, friendly service at the front end. You will assist customers with self-checkout, ensure accurate scanning, and keep the area neat and stocked.

Greet customers by name when possible, explain how to use the hand scanner, and respond promptly to self-checkout notices. Maintain alertness and assist whenever needed to meet service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, accurate and friendly service at self-checkout to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet customers by name whenever possible and assist with self-checkout usage.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and system notifications at self-checkout.
• Monitor self-checkout stations for proper operation and item scanning accuracy.
• Follow Front End Standard Practices and report issues to the Customer Service Manager.
