Job summary

Foodland Super Market in Hawai'i is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly checkout services, handle money, bag orders, and assist shoppers in a busy retail setting.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a high school education or equivalent, and passing a math test plus cashier training. TB clearance and adherence to company policies are also required for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully pass math test.
• Must successfully pass cashier training after hire.
• TB Clearance required.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
• Most duties performed within Front End Department.
• Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, moderate to frequent lifting.

Responsibilities

• providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money
• often bag their customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store
• assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas and may take “return” products back to proper shelf locations
• Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials
• Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
• Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
• General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
• Resolving service and product related customer service issues
• Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
• Abiding by all company policies and procedures
• Performing other duties and assignments as directed
