Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd is locally owned and operated with over 75 years in Hawai'i. This hourly Front End position provides fast, friendly checkout, bagging, and customer assistance in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include operating cash registers, handling money, assisting customers with item locations, maintaining a clean workspace, and resolving service issues while upholding company policies and dress code. TB clearance and cashier training are required after hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully pass math test.
• Must successfully pass cashier training after hire.
• TB Clearance required.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
• Most duties performed within Front End Department.
• Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, moderate to frequent lifting, bending, stretching, continual interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for customers using computerized cash register systems; handle and count money.
• Bag customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store.
• Assist in cleaning and dusting check stands and surrounding areas; return products to proper shelf locations as needed.
• Perform accuracy tasks, recall product codes and weekly ad specials; weigh, scan, and bag orders.
• Performing a cash audit of the contents in the assigned cash drawer.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and observe company dress code.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed.
