SSP America operates multiple restaurants at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT. We are seeking a Team Player with a bold and friendly personality to deliver an impactful and memorable experience to all our customers. You should keep busy, achieve results, and use your own initiative.

As a Fast Food Worker you will greet guests, take orders, prepare and serve items, process payments, and keep work areas clean. Shifts include morning and afternoon, with weekends required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a food service environment.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS to process orders and payments.
• Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Prepare, serve, and sell food/beverage items and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
• Restock and organize work and storage areas and return items after shifts.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Fast Food Worker:

To prepare, serve, sell, and maintain food/beverage items. This includes, greeting guests, taking orders, preparing orders, and receiving payment. These tasks are to be performed in a timely and professional manner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of any machinery and equipment
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required
• Return all items used during your shift to the proper place, clean and organize all work and storage areas (including all coolers and refrigerators), empty and re-line all trash containers
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Other Requirements

• One year experience working in food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time
